Photographer Me… I’m a very laid back and easy going gal!  I have a 6 year old daughter, a 1 year old son, a border collie named Oreo and a shepherd named Reese (we also like our foods!).  I completely “get” the parental side and stresses that can creep in just at the thought of an organized session with your family!  I’ve experienced it all, on both sides of the camera, so I make our sessions very relaxed with no pressure! What I do… My goal is to tell your story.  I use a combination of posed and candid shots because there’s more to your unique story than just sitting in front of my lens!  I primarily shoot outdoors in natural light and utilize the environment around us (I’m not a “proppy” person unless it’s something unique to you or something fun for a Mini Session).  Sometimes, I will do in-home sessions if the weather forces us or if there’s something special you want to incorporate.  The family pet is 100% welcome, always!
What I love… Honestly, I absolutely love me a good product shoot.  I love working with businesses and creating marketing material.  My degree is in Marketing so I could evolve the promotional side of my business, but I find that I just love sitting down and creating things from the photos I’ve captured.  Nothing is more satisfying than seeing my work come to life and have a purpose. Now that said, I also love photographing children.  There’s something raw and emotional in everything they do.  I believe a person doesn’t have to always be looking at the camera to make it an emotional  and meaningful image.  Capturing children playing or exploring is magical.  I find that I get more creative in my editing when I’m working on children’s photos.  I love it! Weddings are a no-brainer.  When I break off with a bride and groom and we have that time to ourselves to just step back and enjoy those first moments of being fresh newlyweds…  it’s an honor to share that time with them and freeze those feelings, because if you’ve ever been married you know how quickly that day goes by.  It’ll be your photos that will take you back, and that’s so, so important!

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.  And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Steve Jobs
